Visual & Sound: Stefan Kreitmayer The visual part was programmed in Processing. 800 particles, some of them joined with line strokes, fly around the 2-dimensional screen. Their movement and configuration comes from various algorithms, including non-linear attractors and snapping positions to a dynamic grid. The soundtrack consists of sine waves modulated by data from the particles' positions and velocities. The synthesis was done in ChucK, and there was some audio editing in Audacity. (I'm not too happy with the sound, to be honest. Might redo that some day.) The piece was shown at the Punto y Raya Festival in 2009 |
